 Chemically inert, PTFE has multiple applications and can replace polypropylene in applications requiring compatibility with a large variety of chemicals.

PTFE syringe barrels do not swell in solvents like polypropylene does, especially in solvents such as dichloromethane, tetrahydrofuran, and dioxane. The PTFE plunger seal stays consistent after hours of exposure.
