| Ideal for applications that require a
controlled temperature bath combined with orbital
shaking motion. Shakers feature an easy access drain
system with quick disconnect, located in the front of
the cabinet for convenience in draining and disinfecting
the system. Twin baffles in the chamber minimize
splashing and turbulence even at high speeds. Ideal for
solubility studies, extraction procedures, cell
cultures, general mixing, hybridization, bacterial
suspensions, diagnostic tests, staining, de-staining,
and washing procedures. Triple eccentric drive enables
continuous 24-hour operation, handles heavier loads, and
provides smooth uniform agitation of full or unbalanced
loads even at high speeds. Monitor and control bath
temperature with PID temperature controller. Visual,
user-adjustable over-temperature safety signal with
independent thermostat provides additional backup by
controlling the heat if the main controller fails.
Shakers feature a powder-coated, cold-rolled steel
exterior, and a seamless stainless steel interior with
rounded corners. A strong, ABS housing surrounds and
protects the polyester control panel.
Analog units feature variable speed controlled by a
rotary dial, a DC motor, and an LED digital display of
temperature. An integrated tachometer monitors and
displays speed in rpm to guarantee accurate setting, and
the timer allows for continuous operation or timed
shaking from 1–60 minutes.
Digital units feature variable speed control,
adjustable with up/down arrows, and a solid-state,
brushless DC motor. Separate LED displays for
temperature, speed, and operating time. Speed is
adjustable in 1rpm increments. Shaker shutdown and
audible and visual signals indicate speed deviations
±10% of setpoint, and temperature deviations of ±1°C of
setpoint. Timer allows for continuous operation or timed
shaking from 0.1–999 minutes, or from 0.1–999 hours.
Soft-start feature helps prevent sudden starts and stops
to eliminate splashing of vessel contents and wetting of
flask closure. Setpoint retention retains parameters
during power failure and restarts unit automatically
after power is restored. RS-232 interface allows remote
monitoring of temperature, speed, and time. For
monitoring temperature, the built-in recorder jack
allows output to a chart recorder for a permanent
record.
The cooling coil accessory allows the bath to reach
near-ambient temperature and below. Gable covers prevent
heat loss and minimize evaporation. The stainless steel
gable cover is for use in operations where temperatures
reach up to 90°C (194°F). The Plexiglas* gable cover is
for use in operations where temperatures reach up to
65°C (149°F). The four auxiliary platform suspension
arms allow for rapid platform changing. The movable
dolly allows for under lab bench operation.
