Designed for small volume production,
scale-up evaluation, clarification of biological
products, and gel removal. Capsules are optimized for
viscous fluids. They feature a self-venting format, low
hold-up volumes, low extractables, low protein binding,
high flow rates and throughputs, and broad chemical
compatibility. Housing and core/end caps are
polypropylene with 13mm (1/2"),
acetal hose barb inlet/outlet connection.
Capsules are available with two polypropylene depth
media types. Profile Star filters feature high area
star-shaped polypropylene pleat construction. Profile II
filters are polypropylene depth filter elements with
tapered pores that narrow to an inner (downstream)
absolute rated section. These filters provide high
capacity for larger solids and gels as well as for fine
particles.
