Emerging technologies in perimeter monitoring can now provide highly sensitive
WMD detection solutions offering real-time data collection and threat
identification capabilities. Critical infrastructure can be secured from any
radiological threat in a mobile or fixed application using either a networked or
standalone configuration. Perimeter monitoring systems are highly scalable and
flexible enough to perform in the most demanding safeguard monitoring
applications.
Fixed-position radiation detection perimeter monitoring can be used to monitor
doorways, driveways, or loading docks. Systems can be designed to inspect
packages or luggage on conveyor belts; and these systems can be integrated with
an X-ray machine or a metal detector to compliment other general screening
devices. Equipment can be attached to walls, light poles, conveyor belts, or
general public areas for clandestine monitoring. And because they are small,
perimeter monitors don't affect the flow of vehicles or pedestrians under
inspection.
Our instruments provide the options to detect and locate radioactive sources,
identify isotopes, provide critical exposure rate information, and transmit the
critical report data via a number of Ethernet, serial communications or wireless
options. In other cases, data can be stored in the instrument's non-volatile
memory for later download to a PC for further processing and analysis.
BNC offers a variety of equipment options for which installation can be
customized to any application environment. We offer a watertight, dustproof, and
shock resistant design which allows sensors to be deployed in areas that were
historically difficult to monitor. Detectors are available for Gamma and/or
Neutron and can be configured as either omni-directional or uni-directional to
ensure that the unit is monitoring the exact target area.
Our systems automatically calibrate to the natural background radiation
environment to maximize detection sensitivity. The equipment can provide the
operator with an easy-to-interpret single digit read out of 1 to 9 to show the
strength of the detected radiation and can also show the actual gross count of
photons or neutrons. Designed to be extremely easy to use and understand, BNC
