The PM1603A performs the following functions:
• Continuous
monitoring and measuring of the ambient gamma dose and dose
rate;
• User alert of hazardous situations with an audible alarm;
• Recording and storing data for up to 1000 events in its
non-volatile memory;
• Transmitting all recorded data via an infrared channel to a
PC for further processing and analysis.
To protect users from overexposure, the dosimeter has two
alarm thresholds. If the pre-set dose and dose rate
thresholds are exceeded, the dosimeter immediately alerts the
user of the danger of radiation through an audible alarm.
The instrument's hermetic and shockproof case and fluorescent
backlight allow for easy operation and precision even in harsh
environments and unfavorable weather conditions.
Applications
• Individual Protection
• Health, Physics, Medicine
• Customs and Border Patrol
• Uranium / Nuclear Fuel Production
